Coming together to keep children safeMonday, October 01, 2012
Every child has the right to be safe and secure. During the month of October, Peel Children’s Aid joins children’s aid societies across the province, building awareness that keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility.
On Friday September 28, Peel Children’s Aid kicked off Child Abuse Prevention Month and marked 100 years of keeping children safe with more than 100 staff from Peel Children’s Aid, local MPPs, police officers, healthcare professionals, foster/kin parents, volunteers and other partners coming together to form a human 100.
“Keeping children safe is a shared responsibility,” says Rav Bains executive director, Peel Children’s Aid. “As our agency marks 100 years of protecting children, this event highlighted how the Peel community has worked together over the past 100 years for the well being of children, youth and families.”
